TV wall units in Montreal: what to measure before requesting a quote
A reference image is a useful starting point for a TV wall, but it does not tell a factory what your room needs. The screen, wall, storage, cables and installation all affect the proposed unit. Prepare these details before asking for a quote.

Measure the wall and its surroundings
Record the approximate wall width and ceiling height, then locate adjacent doors, windows, baseboards, outlets and any features that interrupt the available area. Include photos from the front and both sides. Note whether the unit should end at the wall, leave an open passage or wrap around a corner.
For a Montreal condo or plex, include access details such as stairs, elevator size and narrow doorways. These affect packaging and delivery planning. Your initial dimensions support a sourcing discussion; professional final measurements and site verification are separately arranged before production.
Use the actual TV and equipment information
Send the TV model and its actual dimensions, rather than only its diagonal screen size. Identify whether it will use a stand or a wall mount, and list any soundbar, console, receiver or other equipment. Ask the appropriate installer to confirm the mount, wall construction and placement.
Provide the equipment’s installation instructions so ventilation and access requirements can be considered. Leave the final technical requirements to the manufacturer and installer. Do not enclose equipment merely because it fits in a reference picture.
Decide what should be visible
Separate everyday storage from display space. Closed cabinets can hold equipment or household items, while open niches can display books or decorative objects. Decide which shelves need adjustable positions and which doors or drawers you want.
An illustration might combine a low cabinet with two narrow display columns and a simple backing panel. A full-height wall with drawers, decorative panels and lighting is a different scope. Request separate prices for the essential unit and optional additions so you can compare them clearly.
Plan cables, outlets and access
Mark the existing outlet positions and where cables need to enter or leave the furniture. Ask for cable-routing provisions in the cabinet drawings and allow access to connections after installation. Electrical modifications, TV mounting and appliance connections should be listed separately from the furniture supply.
If you want lighting, identify whether you are requesting a fixture option or a complete installed lighting system. Confirm the components and responsibilities rather than assuming lighting is included with the panels.
Choose panels and hardware as quoted components
For an accent wall, specify whether you want decorative flat panels, a slatted effect, shelving or matching trim. Ask for material, finish, panel dimensions and mounting requirements. A small physical finish sample can help you discuss colour and texture before approving the final selection.
Where the cabinetry uses DTC hinges or drawer slides, exact model numbers, quantities and agreed features should appear in the quote. Decorative panels, a sideboard and a fireplace surround are separate project types; include only the components you want sourced. Any fireplace appliance, installation and required clearances are confirmed separately with the installer.
Build a quote from the chosen scope
Vision Cadre quotes TV wall units and feature walls by project. There is no published fixed starting price for these configurations. Dimensions, compartments, finishes, selected hardware, packing, freight, import costs and local delivery need supplier confirmation. Taxes and installation are presented separately.
Send the room photos, available plan, equipment models, preferred look, material budget and timing. A $400 CAD sourcing deposit covers the first five hours of factory coordination; additional time is $80 CAD/hour on the final invoice. The paid deposit is credited once toward a materials order if you proceed. Professional design, measurements and installation are separately scoped.
